Let's Face It,

Most of Barefoot Hoof Care Fails Because of...

Conflicting Information

There is an overwhelming amount of conflicting advice about trimming, hoof balance, heel height, breakover, frogs and what a healthy hoof should actually look like. Without a clear model to work from, it can be difficult to know which advice to follow or what the hoof genuinely needs.

Poor Results

When the principles behind the trim are misunderstood, even regular hoof care can produce disappointing results. Persistent cracks, flares, stretched white line, soreness and hoof pathology can continue despite repeated attempts to correct them.

Metabolic Dysregulation

Many hoof problems cannot be resolved through trimming alone. Diet, lifestyle, and metabolic health directly influence the hoof, meaning even most competent trimming can fail when the underlying environmental causes remain unaddressed.

But not with the

Natural Trim Method

Evidence Found in Nature

We bring forth real evidence that has been ignored for decades by science. Research and findings on the U.S. Great Basin wild horses has been replicated in Lompoc Paddock Paradise between 2010-2018.

Precision Trim

This is the only method with well defined trimming guidelines, based on true anatomy of horses hoof - and the trimming is applied through the characteristics of naturally shaped hoof. Each structure is respected.

Broader framework

The natural trim is only one of four pillars of natural horse care, a unique framework designed to apply the lessons from the wild in domesticated settings.

Meet Your UK Instructor

My name is Edyta Jackson, and my journey into natural horse care didn’t begin in a classroom… it began with two horses who needed help.

They came with challenges—physical, emotional, and everything in between—and I quickly realised that conventional approaches weren’t giving me the answers I was looking for.

So I started searching.

I immersed myself in the world of natural horse care, rehabilitation, and authentic horsemanship. I trained with the Institute for the Study of Natural Horse Care Practices (ISNHCP), and am privileged to be mentored by Jaime Jackson. My work is deeply influenced by the work of Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling amongst others.

But more importantly… I spent years in the field, working with real horses, real problems, and people.

And here’s the one thing that became undeniable through all of it…

"You cannot separate the hoof from the horse. And you cannot separate the horse from their environment, diet, and emotional state."

True soundness is never accomplished mechanically. It’s created through understanding.

Once you begin to read the hoof as a reflection of the whole horse, everything changes.

Decisions become clearer. Progress becomes sustainable. And with patience, the horse begins to meet you halfway.

And THAT is what led me to become passionate about the ISNHCP.

Not just as a hoof care service but as a space where I could learn more holistically, think differently, and ultimately do better for clients horses.

But I understand that…

You’re here because you want to know the truth—how can this method actually help horses?

And that’s a fair question.

Permanent solutions are not an overnight fix. They are a result of systemic approach to keeping horses called Natural Horse Care.

This is how Jaime Jackson attracted as much criticism as much as success. When the principles of Natural Horse Care are applied correctly.

The bottom line is that no one cares about any one method. What matters is who can actually deliver RESULTS.

ISNHCP education is grounded in Jaime Jackson’s wild horse research and more than four decades of developing Natural Horse Care. His original Great Basin studies included the examination and measurement of more than 1,000 wild horse hooves, while concepts arising from his work have since reached more than 10 countries and been referenced or studied across 9+ higher-education institutions.

Today, the ISNHCP Natural Trim Training Program brings this body of knowledge together with new, exclusive educational content developed for the next generation of practitioners.

I hope you're as excited as I am for you to join our natural hoof care community!  I host a weekly Q&A call every week, I hope to meet you soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

What skill level is this program for?

The Natural Trimming Training Program is designed to build your knowledge and practical skills progressively, from the foundations of Natural Horse Care through to professional-level hoof care. You do not need to arrive knowing how to trim. What matters is your willingness to learn, practise and develop your skills through both online study and hands-on training.

How long do I have access to the program & when does it start?

The Natural Trimming Training Program begins on 1 February each year. Once enrolled, you will have ongoing access to the program, its learning materials and resources for as long as you maintain your ISNHCP membership and annual membership dues.

Your access does not end when you complete your training. As an active ISNHCP member, you can continue returning to the educational materials throughout your professional career, giving you a valuable long-term resource for refreshing your knowledge and supporting your continued development.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

YouTube can be a great place to discover ideas and learn individual techniques, but professional education requires much more than collecting information from different sources.

The ISNHCP Natural Trimming Training Program gives you a structured learning pathway built around the complete Natural Horse Care model, with theory, practical application, hands-on training, instructor guidance and assessment working together.

Most importantly, you are learning the Natural Trim from the organisation founded by Jaime Jackson and through the educational system developed from his original wild horse research and Natural Horse Care principles. Instead of trying to piece together conflicting information and decide what is correct, you learn the method as a complete, connected system and develop the practical skills to apply it professionally.

Do I need to have tools and equpment before starting?

No previous hoof care qualifications or trimming experience are required to begin the program. The training is designed to take you through the Natural Horse Care principles and Natural Trim method progressively, building your knowledge and practical skills as you advance.

You don't need to already know how to trim, and you don't need to come from a professional equine background. What matters most is your willingness to learn, complete the required study and hands-on training, and develop the skills and understanding needed to work competently with horses and their hooves.

Should I invest in Natural Trim Training Program before investing in a three day hoof care clinic?

ISNHCP is not a new training organisation. We have an established international presence and have been educating Natural Hoof Care practitioners around the world for many years. Our training is highly regarded for its depth, its standards and its direct connection to Jaime Jackson's original research and development of Natural Horse Care.

What is new is the way we are delivering that education.

Our students have always been geographically dispersed, often studying hundreds or even thousands of miles from their instructors and one another. The new Natural Trimming Training Program uses technology to bridge that distance, bringing our education, instructors, students and learning resources together in a much more connected environment.

You will combine comprehensive online education with structured hands-on training, instructor support and interaction with an international learning community. Rather than investing in isolated techniques or fragmented information, you are investing in a complete professional education designed to develop both your practical skills and your understanding of the wider Natural Horse Care model.

And your education does not have to end when you qualify. Through continued ISNHCP membership, educational resources and ongoing professional development, you can remain connected to the organisation and continue developing your knowledge throughout your professional career.

Is there a guarantee?

Absolutely! has a 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not completely SATISFIED with the Program, then contact us within 14 Days for a full refund, no questions asked!
